My name is Magda Pietkiewicz and I'm the owner of this little cake business called Magda's cakes.

I discovered my love for cake decorating when I made my first cake in 2013 for my daughter's 1st birthday. It then turned into hobby, I started to spend more time teaching myself all about cake decorating, trying different recipes, challenging myself with more complicated cake designs and learning new techniques to improve my skills.

I love making colourful and cute cakes for children, but I also enjoy creating modern designs.  With my love for DIY I enjoy making more challenging, big showstoppers or gravity defying cakes.

I work solo on all of my projects - from consultations with the customer, designing cakes, baking and working on decorations. My kitchen was inspected by Gateshead Council and was awarded highest 5* food hygiene rating.

 

I'm extremely proud and honored to have my tutorials and cakes published in Cake Masters Magazine.

I was also awarded gold, three silver, two bronze awards and placed 3rd in a class in the biggest cake competition - Cake International in Birmingham.
